10 photos of life with three boys (Monday listicles)

This week's Monday Listicles should be an easy one. These are photos chronicling my life as a parent.

1. Holding Chris for the first time at 5 weeks old. Pure joy and relief. I couldn't wait to get my hands on him, at last, and I could hold him for only 1 hour the first time. Each day for a month, Mike and I would have to alternate holding him. So hard! As a result, when the next two kiddos came along, I could not put them down.
Holding Chris, who was born at 24 weeks gestation and very, very sick
 2. Christopher's baptism, in June 1997, when we finally took him out into public

With our pastor and friend Laurie, and my sister Nadine and her husband, Christopher's godparents
 3. Christmastime with Chris at 1 year old, after he was hospitalized for a week with RSV/pneumonia

  5. I have had 3 miscarriages (2 still births) in the past 1 1/2 years, so I can understand what a surprise and blessing any baby would be after all that. Thank you for sharing a lovely set of pictures with us about your life. I especially love the last one. You all radiate such happiness and love. Blessings to your family.

    1. Hi Casandra. Still births must have been really heartbreaking--I am so sorry! I hope you have success soon as well. Infertility and infant loss is so devastating. My thoughts are with you!

  7. I spent 6 weeks in the NICU ward: from 24 to 30 weeks to keep pre term labour at bay. so grateful to that wonderful unit and the DR's and nursing staff who take care of me and made sure I stayed in bed! was so difficult being in that ward; seeing both tragedy and miracles every day. but so blessed that baby #3 arrived safe and sound AND full term!
beautiful family pictures. And hey - Niagara Falls - hope you enjoyed it.

    1. Hi Rory. It's amazing to hear how many women had to deal with NICU scares--either actual or near-misses. You are lucky that you were able to keep that baby baking! :)

Yes, we loved Niagara Falls and Toronto!
