My fantasy dinner party guests

This week's Monday Listicle is:

Which 10 people, living or dead, would I invite to a dinner party?

My Plus One,
because he's brilliant, funny, and outgoing!

So hard to come up with just 10! At first I listed my lovely husband as one of my guests, but then I read that Stasha (the Monday Listicles Queen) was including her grandpa as her "plus one," so I went with that!

If you don't know me, you will be able to guess my political persuasion by seeing my list! I was aiming for people who are fascinating, have a wide variety of life experiences that I admire, and would be excellent company for dinner, especially together.

Here goes! Yes, I realize that they are mostly women...but it's my party!

1. Hillary Clinton

2. President Barack Obama

3. Michelle Obama

4. Maya Angelou

5. Joan Baez

6. Gloria Steinem

7. Emma Thompson

8. Ellen Degeneres

9. Katharine Hepburn
10. Jesus
(I'm dying to ask him what he thinks about all
those religious and political types who are convinced
they know exactly what he is thinking)
Who would you invite to a fantasy dinner party?

Thanks to Monday Listicles (organized by Stasha at http://www.northwestmommy.com/) for the inspiration. Check out some more!

  5. I think this party is BETTER because of all the women you've invited. Incredible list. :)

  6. I would invite Meryl Streep, James Cameron, Ellen DeGeneres, President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Maya Angelou, Roger Ebert, Christy Lemire, one of my followers of my blog and Jesus.

This is a great list! I love how it's mostly women! I would like to come to your party ;) I imagine it would be a fun one...

  9. Marie, That would make for a very fascinating dinner party. And likely a peaceful one, too.
