The costs of cheap clothing

Here's my guilty confession: I shopped in Old Navy last week and got some great bargains. But then I just read this article about a human rights group discovering that much of the clothing produced in Jordan (for Macy's, Target, Kohl's, and Hanes) is made by workers who are being abused--and in some cases, raped. And now I feel guilty.

Americans continue to want the cheapest price possible--on cotton clothing, electronics, chocolate, coffee--yet the workers in developing countries are paying the price. It's like The Hunger Games trilogy brought to reality.

We are the capitol.
