- Chemicals from the plastic water bottles leach into the water--yikes! It's even worse when the bottled water is stored in a warm environment. I'm becoming increasingly worried about the amount of chemicals we are exposing our bodies to and the connection to cancer and other diseases. Plastic in contact with food or beverages is a huge culprit.
- Bottled water is connected to our demand for oil and litters the environment. Bottled water uses 17 million barrels of oil per year...and 86% of those water bottles end up in the trash and will take 400 to 1,000 years to degrade.
