Unfortunately I came down with some kind of a stomach bug on Wednesday. I woke up around 4:00 a.m. with stomach cramps. Luckily, the illness seemed to be confined to cramps and fatigue. I was quite disgusted to get sick during vacation!
I stayed in bed reading and dozing all day long, and by the evening I felt slightly better...but I had made reservations for Mike's birthday dinner at the Sooke Harbour House on Thursday night, and we were both worried that I wouldn't be feeling up to it.
Mike took the kids off on a walk that afternoon, and my parents went for a hike.
