Two months ago I posted about a movement to get the Obamas to plant a kitchen garden on the White House lawn. 100,000 signed a petition to encourage the Obamas to plant a victory garden.
Hip, hip, hooray--it worked!!!
The Obamas are going to build a kitchen garden on the lawn--Michelle Obama is going to break ground next week with a bunch of third graders.
And everyone in the family--even the president--is going to pull weeds!!!
I love the way Michelle Obama has been encouraging healthy eating...and not only for the visiting dignitaries, but also for the homeless.
Wow, that is one big garden. I have enough trouble with my two square foot gardens. Perhaps I should get small school children to come help me. I'm sure they would not kill everything like I tend to.
