Halloween Weekend--Part 3

Wow--just thinking of what has happened since Halloween blows me away! Barack Obama won the election and is already taking steps to help right the course of the United States of America.

But back to Halloween weekend. On Saturday we took the troops off to Northwest Trek, a wildlife park about 1/2 hour from my sister's house. We had never been there before, and I'm hoping we can make it an annual outing. We had a great time.

The day looked like it would be horrific, but fortunately it only rained for a short period, and we just happened to be on the tram ride at the time.

We wandered around looking at the exhibits, and then took the 1-hour tram ride, where we got up really close to elk, bison, deer, moose, and other animals. Very cool!

Get a look at those antlers! Apparently, the bigger the antlers, the better chance a male elk has of attracting a female...interesting...
